The woman who filled out chart eighteen in the workbook is both a beginner and premenopausal. CCL guidelines for a premenopausal condition require that the woman not go beyond day 4 while she is menstruating. She is then allowed to come back to phase one after menstruation is over, provided she is dry. However, because she is also a beginner she is prevented from using the last dry day rule and coming back to phase one on her first dry day after menstruation, that is day 7. In my humble opinion CCL broke its own rules in interpreting the beginning of phase two for chart eighteen as day 7 rather than day 5.
